Coding for the environment

After 2 years of designing activities and experimenting in schools, Techno Culture Club create coding teacher-guides related to science and environment. These guides has been created for all teachers of science & technology started from 4th grade who would like to offer coding activity related to citizen science, environment and sustainable development in their class.

With technology and coding, this project fosters experimentation among students through prototype creation by using micro:bits and developing different skills related to :

  • intelligent environment: interactive objects in the service of environment (lighting controller, intelligent plant pot...)
  • sustainable development (measures and the analysis on energy consumption, renewable energy, energy usage, )
  • citizen science (collecting data and sharing the process of experimentation and the results)

On April 30th 2019, Techno Culture Club also provided a practical training for teachers and educational consultant whom would like to learn more about coding and how to introducing students into it by experimentation approach.

All our coding & environment teacher-guides are free and available online on TCC ressources page.

If you are a teacher and you would like to offer an activity in your school, send us an email at activites@technoculture.club
