The FabLeasure catalog, produced by the Techno Culture Club team, contains ideas for projects that combine creativity and technology that can be carried out with equipment commonly found in fablabs on the Island of Montreal. Its objective is to introduce cultural leisure organizations to the potential of the fablabs in their borough.
The projects of this gitbook are meant to be at the border of technocreative and other fields (arts, sports, archiving, amateur journalism), so that organizations of all kinds can find their account.
Initiated by the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec (MCC), this project was conceived in response to a call for projects aimed at the appropriation of digital culture. This measure, which stems from the Plan culturel numérique du Québec (PCNQ), aims to develop digital skills and encourage cooperation.

Thanks to the invaluable collaboration of the Service de la culture of the City of Montréal and of Sport et Loisir de l’île de Montréal (SLIM), the project initially brought together five different libraries on the Montreal territory: the MixLab de DuBoisé (Ville Saint-Laurent), Benny Fablab (Notre-Dame-de-Grâce), Fab Lab Père-Ambroise (Centre-Sud), Bibliothèque Interculturelle‘s Fablab (Côte-des-Neiges) and the Fabricathèque Saint-Henri.
